After all the “ups” of the previous week I should,t really be writing this on a “down”. But,here we are!
Last Saturday there I was in Jarrolds store Norwich doing the demo on behalf of Derwent. such a high! I managed to sell some extra Derwent goods for Jarrolds.Only going to Prove that people were listening and regarded me as the expert which in itself is an amazing feeling. It was a great day although not nearly as busy as myself or Jarrolds were expecting for a Saturday. The week up to it was spent trying out the new artbars and Inktense pencils as I am not an expert with them but they proved to be very enjoyable, especially the Inktense. So much so that only 2 hours after completing them I had an offer to buy the pictures produced and am taking them to their new owner this Wednesday.
On Monday I saw my spot on local TV aired. I was very pleased and felt I came across very well. So much so that one of the presenters is going to attend a workshop and they will film that too!
Fingers crossed that the Derwent people like what they see and it leads to some very worthwhile things!
Iv’e now started to get on very well with my latest coloured pencil painting of Heydon tea rooms and i have seen a couple of extra new products produced in the way of nice rosette fridge magnets and acrylic fridge magnets. These are both really nice.
THEN….there’s the lows!
Today I spent several hours at an event which I had really geared up for only to see the weather do its hardest to ruin it. I know you should par the highs against the lows, and to be fair I am getting more highs! BUT…this one was the earner, the one that would see all the hard work come to some fruition and see me justifying my decision to be a full time artist. I know there’ll be more chances but why do we always let the bad things out way the good…no matter how hard we try not too ?!! I’ve now booked a few events nearer to christmas……fingers crossed!
In 2 weeks time i will be at Cart Gap RNLI open open day on the 2nd August. It had better be a good day cos it’s my 29th wedding anniversary, can’t upset the good lady lol!
Hunni is now becoming more assertive and a bit bossy towards the cats to be fair. She is sooooo comical though. You should hear the very strange noises she makes when playing with her new squeaky duck lol!
The princess has now left pre school. It’s big school now! About time really she needs to have her energy channelled and she will be almost 5 by the time she starts. I think she may well be the oldest in her year.
This Wednesday will see quite a lot of my website products added. I now have aprox 24/25 gifts that can be bought with my artwork on. Many can be fully personalised and bespoke. Don’t forget i can also add your own artwork or photos on some of them. Just contact me and i will help your to see your artwork come to life. This week saw me adding some ones cat photos to a Tote bag and Blanket and their daughters dogs to a Tote bag as a gift for her.
Any way peeps …until next time…..
