Hello people! It’s been a good couple of weeks since I last blogged. I am getting there slowly but surely with loading all my products onto my website. I have decided to stop sourcing new ones until I am totally square with the present ones. It’s also been exceptionally busy with selling too. I have had a few sales of Tote bags with peoples own photo images on. This is something i offer and will be on my website as a separate product very soon. Most of my gifts can
have your own images on.Just contact me if you would like the opportunity to see your favourite pet of person ,or whatever on your own unique gift.I sold my original coloured pencil painting of the Chaffinch to one of my facebook friends and I have been busy working on a commission for another. I attended a car show and offered my products to the vintage car owners and already I have had some reaction to it.
We took Hunni to have her first haircut last week. She looks fantastic and it gave her a new lease of life. She turned 6 months last Tuesday. The salon were also interested in my wares with peoples pet images on.
For the first time ever I now have full sets of coloured pencils and pastel and graphite pencils. Ready for any eventuality that life throws at me now. Soon I have my workshop (20th August at HEYDON) and it is good to be prepared. The next ones are in September at Heydon and the wind museum Repps.
What makes everything sweeter is that I am doing all this from scratch under my own devices .It’s damn difficult starting from absolutely nothing but satisfying when you get good reaction and you feel the way is moving forward.Support from people on Facebook and beyond is a great help but I do love the interaction and reaction to what I do. I fully intend to follow up soon on the possible Derwent demos and the TV spot. I wont let them forget about me!
This morning I woke up to a phone call and a booking by the Womens Institute Gt Ryburgh and then i was told i had sold another canvas at North Walsham garden centre. The day stared well and every day I am excited and very thankful by the progress that seems to be happening. Those that know me know that I came to this career after a couple of really damaging and distressing experiences form some rather unscrupulous employers. My advice to anyone is to give it a go. You might not regret it…I’m not. It’s hard and there’s a long way to go but you owe it to yourself and anyway…..it would be great to have the last laugh…………..wouldn’t it?!…
