Well!….what can I say……it’s all heading in the right direction. Not as quick as I’d like but then beggars can’t be choosers!
As you are all aware I am adding lots of new products to my site. It’s taking a long time but will be worth it in the end. My pictures seem to lend themselves to many different things from keyrings to blankets and candles to sweets. All very exciting and all very affordable and a different way of getting your hands on my work.
Yesterday saw me having a meeting with the sales director of Derwent. Who knew this would happen?…not me that’s for sure. I am promoting and demonstrating their products in Jarrolds department store, art department.
I’m hoping this can grow into something more such as demonstrating at Derwents pencil museum in Keswick.
On the 14th July I’m back on Mustard tv,our local station in Norwich. This time I’m giving over a few tips for beginners. This too may end up as something more as they are talking about doing a perm spot on the show.
Hunni’s still continuing to be a constant source of amusement for us and never has a lil’ dog been so spoiled by everyone. She has firmly established her role as the second princess lol. Talking of her, she is nearing going to big school. I expect to have a few stories then lol. I told her I was going to go to her school and show the children how to draw. She said, “they can already draw” with a matter of fact look on her face…..way to go and shoot Grandad down in flames!! Also a constant source of amusement and love!
Tagen my middle son is getting excited and also a bit nervous. He’s getting his driving license back after being taken off the road for a year due to epilepsy. He hasn’t had it too long but was quite severe when it did happen.Let’s hope this will help him to move forward with his life now. I can’t imagine how i would have felt at 23 to have driven and then be without for almost 2 years. It’s a lifeline at that age isn’t it.
Jed the youngest has finished his plumbing course at college after 3 years. now to find that elusive job!
Ki is still thouroughly enjoying being a gardener for the Gt Yarmouth town council. If ever a job fitted a young man…this was it!
Well here’s looking forward to Saturday and if you can make it please make yourself known to me ,it will be great to meet you
John Etheridge demonstrates Derwent Pencil Range
Exchange Street, Art & Stationers
On Saturday 11th July, we are pleased the welcome John Etheridge, a local artist to our stationary department to demonstrate the Derwent Pencil Range.
John Etheridge was born in Middlesex but has spent all his life since the age of one in the beautiful county of Norfolk. Much of his young life was spent exploring the Broads and participating in various sporting activities. At the age of ten he realised he could also draw and spent much time drawing pictures for family members to hang on their walls. Due to this, John has had a fantastic career drawing popstars and world champions and has many collectors of his works. John also offers a variety of hands-on workshops in locations in Norfolk, where you can learn all about the materials he uses and how to enhance your performance using pastels, coloured pencils and graphite.
